AIRSPEED BASIC CAMPS

We have found that the most potent way to evaluate and teach skills in the wind tunnel is to keep the class size really small and to keep the student to instructor ratio low. In this, total immersion course, each student will work one-on-one with an Airspeed instructor during their entire time in the wind tunnel. This is a more expensive way to teach but each student gets much more learning accomplished in a short amount of time.

This camp is comprised of focused, hands on, one-on-one training in the SkyVenture wind tunnel. It also includes detailed video debriefing and classroom instruction. The instructors are all members of Arizona Airspeed. Classes are small - no more than 10 students.

The Details

  1. The standard course will be spread over three days at the SkyVenture wind tunnel in Orlando, Florida, Eloy, Arizona, or Perris Drop Zone in Perris Valley, California.
  2. Each class will be taught by 4 - 6 Arizona Airspeed Coaches
  3. The student to instructor ration will be held to 3 to 1.
  4. Each student will receive 1 hour of flight time (reduced only by the small amount of time it takes to get in and out of the wind tunnel). During every second of that time, you will work one-on-on with an Airspeed coach.
  5. The course will take approximately 8 hours each day.
  6. You will need to bring your jumpsuit, gloves, helmet (preferrably full face), and any weights that you wear in freefall.
